Heal Our Land

Yahweh appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him, “I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for myself for a house of sacrifice. “If I shut up the sky so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to prayer that is made in this place.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, Sovereign Lord of heaven and earth, we come before You in humility, acknowledging that our greatness means nothing without Your blessing. You have promised that if Your people who bear Your name will humble themselves, pray, seek Your face, and turn from wicked ways, You will hear from heaven, forgive our sin, and heal our land. Today we stand in the gap for our nation, confessing our pride, our rebellion, and the ways we have chased our own desires instead of Your holy will.

Father, grant us the grace to lay down every idol that competes for our hearts. Stir up a spirit of genuine repentance across every city, every community, every household. We pray for our leaders—that You would awaken in them a deep dependence on Your wisdom and a passionate love for justice. May they govern with integrity, humility, and compassion, seeking first Your kingdom and righteousness.

Lord, we seek Your face now. Heal the divisions that fracture us, restore the trust between neighbor and neighbor, and bind our wounds with Your unfailing love. Pour out Your mercy upon our land, that righteousness and peace may flourish in every corner. Let Your presence dwell among us, drawing us back to covenant faithfulness and igniting revival from sea to shining sea.

We claim Your promise: hear us, forgive us, heal us, and once again make us a people set apart for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
