Prayer
Sovereign Lord, God of Israel and King above all kings, we come humbly before You, crying out on behalf of our nation’s leader. As Samuel took the flask of oil and poured it on Saul’s head, declaring, “Has not the Lord anointed you ruler over His inheritance?”—so we ask, O God, that You would stretch out Your hand and anoint the one who stands in the seat of presidential authority.
You are the One who raises up and brings down. You search hearts and test motives. You know the burdens that rest on the shoulders of leadership, and You alone can provide the strength, humility, and wisdom required to govern Your people well. So, we ask—anoint the Chief.
Set apart the President for righteousness. Let every decision be guided by Your Spirit. Surround him with counselors who fear You, and remove every voice that seeks to corrupt or derail Your purposes. Cause him to lead with courage and integrity, to value justice and mercy, and to recognize that the office he holds is not his own—it belongs to You, the Ruler of nations.
Let this anointing not be for show, but for service. Transform his heart, align his will with Yours, and let the oil of Your Spirit flow over every word, every policy, every moment of governance. Raise him up not just as a leader of a nation, but as a servant of the Most High God.
