Claimed by the Holy One

“But now Yahweh who created you, Jacob, and he who formed you, Israel, says: ‘Don’t be afraid, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by your name. You are mine.’”

— Isaiah 43:1 WEB

Prayer

O Covenant-keeping God, I come before You in awe that You have called me, my family, my church, and even my nation by name. You, the Creator of all things, speak identity over us—not as an afterthought, but as a deliberate act of love. Today I stand in this holy truth: we belong to You. Let this belonging pierce every layer of my being until fear is cast out and redemption becomes the rhythm of our days.

Lord, as You declared over Israel, declare again over us—“You are Mine.” Let this identity uproot every lie that has settled over the hearts of Your people. Where shame, confusion, or spiritual amnesia has clouded the body of Christ, breathe fresh remembrance. Awaken in us the dignity of being a chosen people marked by Your covenant. Let my home become a sanctuary where this truth is spoken, sung, and lived.

For the Church in this nation, Father, break every counterfeit label the enemy has tried to attach. Lift off the garments of heaviness and clothe us again with the mantle of redemption. May congregations everywhere rise with the confidence that comes from being named by Heaven. Restore our ears to hear Your voice calling us—individually and collectively—back to covenant identity.

And for this nation, O God of mercy, let the sound of Your calling echo from coast to coast. Interrupt waywardness with divine remembrance. Turn prodigals toward home. Let leaders, families, students, workers, and entire communities sense that tug of the Spirit declaring, “You are Mine.” In this identity, ignite revival. In this belonging, release awakening.

Mark us again, Lord. Call us again. Claim us again for Your glory.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
