He Will Keep You

He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber.

— Psalm 121:3 WEB

Prayer

Lord my Keeper, I lift my heart to You in the place where the path feels uncertain and my steps feel fragile. I confess that I do not always know how to walk through pressure, delay, temptation, or change without feeling the weight of what could go wrong. Yet Your Word anchors me with covenant assurance: You will not allow my foot to be moved, and You do not slumber over my life. I am not left to preserve myself by nervous striving. I am held by Your faithful attention.

I surrender every place where fear has made me watch my own steps more than I trust Your keeping hand. When the road narrows, teach me to walk without panic. When the way climbs, strengthen me without pride. When my emotions tremble, settle me in Your presence. Let my confidence be rooted not in the stability of my circumstances but in the steadiness of Your character. You are awake over what I cannot see. You are guarding what I cannot control.

I declare that my feet will not be surrendered to confusion, compromise, or hidden destruction. My family will not be carried away by careless steps. My household will be covered by the watchful mercy of God. Where the enemy has tried to use pressure to make me stumble, let the preserving power of the Lord rise around me. Where weariness has made obedience feel costly, let fresh grace strengthen my will to continue.

Order my steps in wisdom. Keep my desires under Your authority. Guard my reactions, my words, my choices, and my secret thoughts. Let no sudden fear push me into the wrong path. Let no disappointment turn my heart away from Your promises. Place holy caution where I need restraint, and place courageous faith where I need to move forward.

Thank You because Your keeping is not passive. You are present, attentive, and faithful. You watch over my going and my coming, my rising and my resting, my progress and my pauses. I will not measure my future by the trembling I feel today. I will walk as one upheld by the God who neither sleeps nor forgets His own. My feet are under Your care, and my journey is not abandoned.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
