Light Where None Was

Series: Veilbreaker

God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw the light, and saw that it was good. God divided the light from the darkness.

— Genesis 1:3–4 WEB

Prayer

Creator God, I come before You with faith anchored in Your voice. You spoke into darkness before there was any visible sign of change, and light obeyed You. I bring before You the one I love who still sits under shadows they may not even recognize. I refuse to believe that darkness has the final word over their life, their mind, their emotions, their future, or their eternal destiny.

Let Your light shine into the hidden places. Speak where human words have failed. Command light where arguments, reminders, warnings, and tears have not been enough. I ask You to enter the inward spaces that no one else can reach. Break through the numbness, the confusion, the false peace, the spiritual resistance, and every veil that has made Jesus seem distant or unnecessary.

Separate light from darkness in their understanding. Divide truth from every lie that has shaped their choices. Let them begin to recognize what is holy and what is hollow, what is life-giving and what is destroying them, what is Your mercy and what is the enemy’s disguise. Let the brightness of Christ rise with unmistakable authority in their heart.

I ask You to make Jesus beautiful to them. Not merely familiar, not merely historical, not merely religious, but glorious, living, merciful, and worthy. Let the face of Christ become clearer than every counterfeit light. Let the gospel no longer sound like noise, but like the voice of life calling them out of the void.

I stand in hope for my family and loved ones. I will not curse the darkness as though it is permanent. I will call upon the God who commands light. Let creation power move again. Let a new beginning be formed in them by Your Spirit. Let salvation dawn where there has been emptiness, and let Your goodness be seen in the land of the living. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
