But you shall remember Yahweh your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he swore to your fathers, as it is today.
Power becomes dangerous when memory grows weak. You were never designed to rise by self-confidence alone, nor to build a fruitful life disconnected from the God who gives strength, skill, opportunity, discipline, and increase. This Scripture anchors your ambition in covenant awareness. The ability to produce, create, work, lead, build, and steward wealth is not accidental; it is entrusted. When morning begins with remembrance, pride loses its grip, fear loses its voice, and striving gives way to holy partnership. You are called to move through the day with strength, but not with independence. Every gift, open door, idea, connection, and productive hour must return your heart to the Source. Discipline is not merely personal improvement; it is covenant stewardship. As you rise with power, remember who empowered you, why He empowered you, and what your obedience is meant to establish in the earth.
- Acknowledge God as the source of strength, skill, opportunity, and increase.
- Reject pride, self-reliance, and forgetfulness before beginning the day’s work.
- Ask for disciplined stewardship over time, ability, resources, and assignments.
- Declare that productivity will serve God’s covenant purposes and not selfish ambition.
- Pray for strength to build with humility, excellence, and obedience.
Prayer
Father, I rise today remembering that every strength in me comes from You. I do not step into this morning as an owner of my life, but as a steward of Your grace, Your purpose, and Your covenant. I acknowledge that the power to work, build, produce, earn, think, create, organize, and advance is not something I manufactured by myself. You are the One who breathes capacity into my body, clarity into my mind, courage into my heart, and opportunity into my path.
Deliver me from the deception of self-sufficiency. Keep my heart from becoming proud when fruit begins to appear. Keep me from forgetting You when doors open, when resources increase, when plans succeed, and when my hands become productive. Let every achievement return worship to You. Let every success deepen humility in me. Let every increase remind me that I am upheld by covenant mercy and not by human strength alone.
Today, I command my morning to come under the authority of divine remembrance. I refuse to begin this day distracted, entitled, passive, or spiritually careless. My time belongs to You. My strength belongs to You. My ideas belong to You. My resources belong to You. My work belongs to You. I receive power to move with diligence, focus, consistency, and wisdom, but I refuse to use that power apart from Your will.
Let my labor establish what honors You. Let my decisions carry Kingdom weight. Let my discipline become worship. Let my habits support obedience. Let my productivity become a testimony that You strengthen those who walk in covenant with You. I will not waste what You have entrusted to me. I will not bury ability under fear, laziness, procrastination, or distraction. I rise with purpose because You have empowered me to build.
Father, bless the work of my hands in a way that strengthens my family, serves others, advances Your will, and glorifies Your name. Teach me to steward increase without being ruled by it. Teach me to pursue excellence without losing tenderness. Teach me to carry responsibility without forgetting dependence. I step into this day with strength, but my confidence is in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
