Show Me Your Way

Now therefore, if I have found favor in your sight, please show me your way, now, that I may know you, so that I may find favor in your sight; and consider that this nation is your people.” He said, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Moses said to him, “If your presence doesn’t go with me, don’t carry us up from here.

Prayer

Father, I come before You with a surrendered heart, acknowledging that I cannot lead myself wisely without Your presence. I do not want to move through life by instinct, pressure, fear, or ambition. Show me Your way so that I may know You more deeply, walk in Your favor, and remain aligned with Your covenant purposes. Let my desire for direction always be rooted in a deeper desire for You.

Teach me to value Your presence above progress. Forgive me for the times I have asked for open doors while neglecting intimacy with You. Forgive me for moving too quickly, speaking too soon, or deciding too confidently without waiting before You. I lay down the need to prove, perform, and rush. I choose the holy safety of walking where You are leading.

Holy Spirit, cultivate in me a sensitivity that refuses to treat Your guidance casually. Let my heart become attentive to Your peace, Your correction, and Your restraint. When a path looks attractive but lacks Your presence, give me the courage to pause. When obedience requires patience, give me grace to wait without resentment. When Your way is slower than my preference, keep me steady in trust.

I ask You to cover my family, my relationships, my responsibilities, and my future with the wisdom of Your presence. Do not let me drag others into decisions shaped by anxiety or presumption. Lead my household in paths that honor Christ. Let every step we take be guarded by reverence, discernment, and obedience.

I declare that I will not be governed by urgency when You are calling me to stillness. I will not confuse movement with fruitfulness or opportunity with assignment. Your presence will be my confidence, Your rest will be my confirmation, and Your way will be my path. Lead me, keep me, instruct me, and make my life a testimony of Spirit-led obedience. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
