The second note was written to the noble Lord Willbewill. It declared that his Prince Emmanuel clearly understood how brave and steady he had been for his Lord's honor while the Prince was away, and while Diabolus treated his name with contempt. The Prince also received it well that Willbewill had been faithful to Soul City, keeping such a close watch and firm control over the Diabolonians who were still hiding in their separate holes within the famous town. Emmanuel also made known that he understood how Willbewill had personally dealt with some of the leading rebels there, discouraging the opposing party and setting a strong example before all Soul City. Before long, he would receive his reward.
The third note was written to the subordinate preacher. It declared that his Prince received it well that he had honestly and faithfully carried out his office and fulfilled the trust his Lord had given him, while he urged, corrected, and warned Soul City according to the town's laws. The Prince also received it well that, when Soul City was under revolt, the preacher called the town to fasting, grief, and repentance. He had also called for the help of Captain Boanerges in such a serious work. Before long, he too would receive his reward.
The fourth note was written to Mr. Godly-Fear. His Lord declared that he had observed how Godly-Fear was the first man in Soul City to uncover Mr. Carnal-Security, the one whose subtle and clever work had brought spiritual decline and a turning away inside the blessed town. His Lord also made him understand that he still remembered his tears and grief over Soul City's condition. Emmanuel had noticed how Godly-Fear exposed Mr. Carnal-Security at his own table, among his own guests, inside his own house, right in the middle of his careless celebration, even while he was planning harm against the town. Emmanuel also noticed that Godly-Fear stood firm at the castle gates against every threat and attack of the tyrant, and that he guided the townspeople toward a petition their Prince would accept, so they could receive an answer of peace. Therefore, before long, he would receive his reward.
Emmanuel's letters reveal a deeply comforting truth: the Prince had seen everything. He had seen courage when his name was mocked. He had seen vigilance when hidden corruption still lingered. He had seen preaching, warning, repentance, tears, and steady resistance. Some of that faithfulness may have felt unnoticed in the moment, but it was never hidden from the Prince.
Hebrews 6:10 gives the same steady promise: God does not forget the work and love shown in his name. Faithfulness under pressure can feel invisible, especially when encouragement has not arrived yet. But the Lord sees obedience done in dark rooms, weary prayers, resisted temptations, costly truth-telling, and quiet service to his people.
God is not careless with the obedience of his children. He is holy enough to judge sin and kind enough to remember service. Christ does not overlook faithfulness simply because it happens during delay, discouragement, or spiritual pressure. He sees the watchman at the gate, the preacher who keeps warning, and the tender conscience that grieves over decline.
Your heart can grow tired when obedience feels unnoticed. You may wonder whether staying faithful matters when the battle continues and comfort has not yet come. But hidden obedience is often where love becomes clearest. The question is not whether anyone else sees. The deeper question is whether you will remain loyal because Christ is worthy.

Father, thank you that you do not forget the work done in your name. Thank you that Jesus sees hidden obedience, quiet courage, resisted temptation, and faithful service when no one else notices. Keep me from giving up because the reward is delayed. Make my heart steady, loyal, and willing to obey because Christ is worthy. In Jesus' name, Amen.
